Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of ballisticstracker.com and the Ballistics Tracker application (the "Service"), operated by Ballistics Tracker ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that both are true.
2. What the Service Is (and Isn't)
Ballistics Tracker is a personal record-keeping tool for tracking firearms, ammunition, range sessions, maintenance, and reliability statistics.
The Service is not:
- Legal advice. Nothing in the Service tells you what is legal in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for complying with all federal, state, and local laws regarding firearms, ammunition, suppressors, and related items.
- Safety, gunsmithing, or ballistic advice. Statistics, reliability figures, guides, and any other information in the Service are provided for informational purposes only. Never rely on the Service to determine whether a firearm or ammunition is safe to use. Consult a qualified gunsmith and follow manufacturer guidance.
- A marketplace. The Service may not be used to buy, sell, trade, or facilitate the transfer of firearms, ammunition, or any regulated items.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at ballisticstracker@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Community Content
Some features let you share content, such as reliability reports, with other users. For any content you share:
- You keep ownership of it, but you grant us a license to store, display, and distribute it within the Service so the feature can work.
- You may not post content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, or misleading; that advertises or solicits the sale or transfer of firearms, ammunition, or other regulated items; or that includes another person's private information.
- We may remove any content or suspend any account at our discretion, particularly for violations of these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access other users' data, probing or circumventing security measures, scraping the Service, interfering with its operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Free and PRO Features
The Service currently offers free features and a PRO tier. Features, limits, and pricing may change as the Service evolves. If we introduce paid subscriptions, additional terms (including billing and refund terms) will be presented before you pay.
7. Your Data
Our collection and use of your information is described in our Privacy Policy. Your records belong to you; you can edit or delete them at any time, and you can request deletion of your entire account by emailing us.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-interruption. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that your data will never be lost — keep your own records of information you cannot afford to lose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or your violation of any law in connection with your use of the Service, including firearm laws.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for us or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 8–10) will survive.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in North Carolina.
